Job summary

The United Illuminating Company is seeking a Lead Analyst - Environmental & Permitting to oversee environmental compliance for utility operations and capital projects in Orange, CT. The role focuses on regulatory reporting, risk management, and ensuring permitting commitments are met throughout project development.

Responsibilities include supporting Connecticut Siting Council processes, coordinating with agencies, and supervising SPCC, waste management, and air emissions tracking programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental field or related discipline plus relevant experience.
• 7+ years of environmental compliance experience.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental permits and regulations.
• Experience with construction/remediation oversight and regulatory reporting.

The position manages environmental programs, regulatory reporting, risk monitoring, and compliance obligations under applicable federal and state requirements.
