Johnson & Johnson Med Tech is seeking a Lead Analyst, Data Product & Marketplace Lifecycle to drive end-to-end data assets within the Alation Marketplace. You will own onboarding, access workflows, consumer readiness, and lifecycle governance for data products across the organization.

The role requires collaboration with data scientists, clinical teams, and IT to translate data needs into functional requirements and APIs, ensuring reliable marketplace connectivity and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• Experience in business systems analysis, product management, or technical business analysis within a regulated framework.
• Experience with data catalogs and data marketplaces (Alation).

Responsibilities

• Own the Alation Marketplace Lifecycle, including onboarding, access workflows, and governance.
• Deconstruct downstream data consumption needs into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Lead cross‑functional collaboration with data scientists, business units, and IT teams for marketplace connectivity and API enablement.
• Define cross‑domain business rules and ensure alignment with consumer specifications.

The Lead Analyst, is responsible for the end-to-end business lifecycle of our data assets within the Alation Data Marketplace framework and is the tactical product owner responsible for deconstructing outbound functional requirements, packaging data into consumer-ready products, leading onboarding workflows, and serving as the daily business counterpart to IT/JJT engineering teams implementing downstream API and marketplace connectivity. Key Role Responsibilities Alation Marketplace Lifecycle Ownership: Own the management of data products within the Alation Marketplace leading all aspects of onboarding, access workflows, consumer readiness, and lifecycle governance. Functional Requirement Deconstruction: Directly parter with downstream data scientists, business units, and clinical application teams to deconstruct their data consumption needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Gold Layer Semantic Alignment: Define the business rules for cross-domain data aggregations and calculated metrics, confirming technical Gold-layer models match consumer specifications. Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Required Experience: Proven track record in business systems analysis, functional product management, or technical business analysis within a regulated framework. Sophisticated proficiency in Agile tools (Jira, Confluence); direct operational experience demonstrating data catalog marketplaces (specifically Alation Data Marketplace); capability with a validated curiosity about bridging the gap between highly development teams and business consumers. Other Requirements This role may require up to 10% of domestic and/or international travel based on business needs.
