Job summary

SOM's Airports Practice in San Francisco seeks an experienced Architectural Project Manager to lead terminal projects, coordinate design teams, and deliver high-quality client-focused solutions. You will mentor staff, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with partners, consultants, and contractors to execute complex, multi-disciplinary programs.

Must be able to lead architectural project teams through all design phases.
Strong ability to manage client relationships and expectations.
Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams for complex airport projects.

Responsibilities

Leads the Architectural Project Team through close collaboration with SOM Partners project leadership to achieve design, technical and financial success.
Prepares, with Leadership input, quality agreements with clients including letters of intent and professional service agreements.
Collaborates with Partners and senior team to manage compliance plans for budget, deliverables and schedule.
Chairs weekly team meetings to address variances from the project plan.
Administers internal control procedures with Project Accountant including billing, collections and year-end activities.
Participates actively in project design and technical discussions and decision making.
Manages owner/client relationship and expectations to allow SOM and team to work effectively.
