A veteran-owned company in Egg Harbor Township, NJ, is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor to lead aircraft modifications and maintenance efforts. The role requires a minimum of ten years of aircraft maintenance experience with previous supervisory roles in fighter aircraft. The position offers benefits, including health insurance and a 401(k). Description
  • Leads a team in the performance of aircraft modifications, maintenance, inspections, and scheduled / unscheduled maintenance. Position contingent based on contract award.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Possesses the technical experience to supervise subordinate mechanics and provide technical guidance on maintenance operations on the airframe being supported.
  • Capable of performing, supervising, and inspecting the duties of all team members on CFT.
  • A person in this position maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures, and electronic systems of complex to extreme difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to avionics, flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems and mechanical components determining equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise in restoring equipment condition and operation.
  • This worker also applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, routing drawings or manufacturers' manuals.
  • Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft electrical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft avionics systems, sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems.
  • A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as electrical, avionics and weapons test equipment, torque wrenches, multi-meters, aerospace ground equipment is required. Must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/avionics, and electrical engineers, and customers alike, must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule.
  • This worker will be required to make entries in work cards and is responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower-level technicians throughout all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ total and two (2) years recent (within 4 years of task order PoP start) experience in aircraft maintenance support within two (2) years on Fighter/Bomber/Attack aircraft (preferably F‑16) as an aircraft mechanic in Avionics, Electrical or General maintenance specialties.
  • Previous supervisory experience in fighter aircraft maintenance, or modification fields.
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Must have ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Normal color vision as defined by GMRE, with a passing score of 75% or greater.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
TRAVEL REQUIRED
  • Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position for meetings, trainings, and/or site visits.
