Job summary
Flightcheck Commercial Aviation is seeking an experienced Lead Aircraft Sheet Metal Technician to supervise and perform advanced sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures. You will ensure FAA compliance while leading a team of skilled technicians and supporting AOG operations at various stations.
The role offers pay from $47-$50 per hour based on experience, comprehensive benefits, a 401k with company match, paid vacation and holidays, in-house certification
Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid A&P certificate.
- Must read, write and understand English; able to interpret technical data.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- 5+ years aircraft sheet metal experience; 2+ years in a lead role.
- Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Must climb ladders 6–10 feet.
- Strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor sheet metal team; assign tasks and ensure quality.
- Perform complex sheet metal fabrication and repairs per drawings.
- Maintain FAA, OEM, and safety standards compliance.
- Inspect completed work and document maintenance actions.
- Perform Line Maintenance duties other than Sheet Metal.
- AOG travel as needed.
