Job summary

Flightcheck Commercial Aviation seeks an experienced AOG Sheet Metal Technician (Part-Time) to perform advanced sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures. You will ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards, and may support AOG operations at various stations.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid airframe license, and 5+ years of aircraft sheet metal experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid State Driver's License.
• Must have a valid Airframe License.
• Must read, write and understand English and interpret technical data.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Must have 5+ years aircraft sheet metal experience.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall.
• Must have strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing special skills such as but not limited to; close tolerance hole drilling, countersinking, fastener installation, shooting and or bucking rivets, trimming, use of micrometers, and calipers.
• Perform complex sheet metal fabrication and repairs per technical drawings.
• Makes sheet metal layouts; sets up and operates fabricating machinery; and installations for conformance to specifications.
• Plans, lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs, and repairs both internal and external aircraft structures and surfaces for aircraft modification in accordance with technical manuals, engineering drawings, and FAA regulations
• Maintain compliance with FAA, OEM, and safety standards.

The AOG Sheet Metal Technician will perform advanced sheet metal repairs, modifications, and installations on aircraft structures. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company standards. This individual may also support AOG operations at various stations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must have 5+ years aircraft sheet metal experience
• Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
• Must be able to climb ladders ranging from 6 to 10 feet tall
• Must have strong technical, leadership, and communication skills.

Workplace environment:

• Potential exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic chemicals, and moving mechanical parts.
• Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat. You will often be exposed to various weather elements as well.
• The noise level in the work environment is typically loud.
