Job summary

AAR Corp. is seeking a Lead Aircraft Inspector (A&P) at our Miami, FL facility. You will lead inspection of incoming and outgoing materials, ensure compliance with ISO 9000 and customer requirements, and train QC inspectors to uphold high standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with multiple departments, enforcing QC processes, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a warehouse/aircraft services setting. Requires FAA A&P license and physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license required.
  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.

Description

Description SUMMARYThe Lead Inspector will ensure that all incoming and outgoing materials go through the proper levels of inspection, according to both AAR and ISO 9000 standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead outgoing and/or incoming inspection.
  • Process incoming and outgoing material.
  • Enforce Quality Control requirements per the ISO 9000 and customer requirements per theISO 9000 and customer requirements manual.
  • Administer effective training and on the job training of Quality Control inspectors.
  • Assist Quality Manager in reviewing and updating department standards.
  • Interface with different departments in AAC/ATC- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • FAA A&P License required.
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and comply with OSHA standards.
