Job summary

Menzies Aviation is hiring a Lead Aircraft Fueler in Portland, OR. The role oversees fueling/defueling, mentors staff, and ensures safe, secure, and efficient aircraft servicing at the airport. The position emphasizes safety, compliance, and teamwork in outdoor work conditions.

You will train staff, manage fuel transactions, and maintain equipment while adhering to security and health policies. Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Prior Aircraft Fueling experience required.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass background check.
• Must have a valid US driver's license and color vision test.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members while performing fueling/defueling services in a safe and efficient manner.
• Drive and operate fuel trucks, hydrant cards, and stationary carts to fuel aircraft.
• Trains employees during on the job training or assigns employees to work with experienced staff.
• Responsible for accurate accounting of fuel transactions.
• Perform daily Quality Control checks on equipment.
• Maintain equipment in clean and functional condition.
• Ensure the correct loading and balancing of fuel.
• Handle fueling carts and hoses, lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Comply with attendance standards and safety policies.
• Assist other Fuelers to ensure operations meet standards.
