• Leads three or more engine mechanic subordinates in diagnosing malfunctions, troubleshooting, and evaluating propulsion tests to determine disassembly for repair or replacement of parts.
• Monitors work, sets the pace, allocates assignments, and ensures materials, tools, and stock are available.
• Coordinates with aircraft mechanics and specialists performing journey level work and ensures schedules meet priorities.
• Checks work in progress for compliance with instructions, and serves as a technical advisor on procedures and directives.
• Ensures safety, housekeeping, security, and environmental rules are followed in shop and flight line.
