Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an on-site Virtual Agentic Software Test Engineer — TRACE to lead a QA team responsible for agentic testing across a .NET/Blazor stack. You will own testing across AI agents, prompt engineering, and evaluation metrics.

You will collaborate with TRACE developers and Product Owners to shape test coverage, release readiness, and quality strategy. The role emphasizes hands-on engineering and a strong quality voice within the team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software quality assurance with shipping experience.
• 1+ year hands-on with LLM-based agents, AI coding assistants, or multi-agent systems.
• Strong test-design instincts across multiple testing layers and release gating.
• Experience with AI coding agents and related APIs.
• Reading and modifying production code in C#, Python, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Direct the agentic testing team and define agent personas and QA checkpoints.
• Author prompts, context contracts, and knowledge bases for test plan generation.
• Build evaluation harnesses to measure agent output quality and regression coverage.
• Curate test plans, scripts, and regression results for the engineering pipeline.
• Hunt bugs using manual, automated, and agent-driven methods; verify findings before escalation.
• Own TRACE’s quality posture as SME on HVAC simulation correctness and ASHRAE compliance.
• Collaborate with Developers and Product Owners on coverage and releases.
• Run regression, functional, and data tests across .NET, Blazor, PostgreSQL, EnergyPlus.
