Jobtailor seeks a senior software engineer to lead the design and integration of Workday’s next generation intelligent agents, delivering production‑grade AI within a governed framework.

You will architect distributed cloud systems, orchestrate AI workflows, and enforce Responsible AI guardrails for privacy and reliability.

Requirements include 10+ years in software engineering with distributed systems, cloud, APIs, and ML/AI delivery in enterprise products.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with distributed systems, cloud computing, and API design.
• 2+ years focused on production-grade LLM/agentic systems or 7+ years in ML Engineering or AI app development, with 3+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
• 3+ years hands-on experience integrating large models and modern AI APIs into enterprise products.
• 2+ years designing and scaling complex AI orchestration architectures.
• 6+ years optimizing application performance, addressing latency challenges.
• 6+ years deploying highly responsive, scalable systems on cloud platforms.
• Bachelors degree in CS, SE, or related field; Masters preferred.
• Responsible AI stewardship knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end system design and product integration of Workdays next generation intelligent agents.
• Architect how foundational models are safely integrated into production-grade software.
• Own the design, experimentation, and orchestration of complex agentic workflows.
• Be a core champion for Responsible and Governed AI with guardrails for data privacy and predictability.
• Balance high-level system design with hands-on execution to address latency and reliability.
