This role combines hands-on leadership with collaboration across Product, Architecture, Engineering, Data and Business teams to translate ideas into scalable, production-ready platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect).
• 5+ years of full stack development experience.
• 5+ years of SQL/NoSQL experience (MongoDB, Redis, etc).
• 3+ years hands-on AI/ML or Generative AI experience.
• Strong cloud platform experience (GCP/AWS) and microservices/APIs.
• Java, Python, Spring Boot and front-end frameworks (Angular/JS).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design, implementation, and deployment of cloud-native, AI-powered healthcare solutions. This role requires a hands‑on technology leader who can work across Product, Architecture, Engineering, Data, and Business teams to transform ideas into scalable, production‑ready solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of AI expertise, cloud architecture experience, healthcare industry knowledge, and business acumen. They must be passionate about emerging technologies, market trends, and innovation while maintaining a pragmatic focus on delivering achievable business outcomes.

This individual will play a critical role in guiding product strategy, defining solution architecture, oversee implementation, and ensuring successful deployment of AI‑enabled products and platforms.

Accountabilities include:

• Identify, Define, and execute end-to-end AI enabled strategic solutions aligned with project objectives.
• Lead and supervise architectural initiatives within assigned projects or areas.
• Develop architectural designs and solutions, ensuring adherence to standards and best practices
• Mentor and guide junior and senior architects in project-related tasks and skill development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver effective architectural solutions.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, data engineers, IT teams, and management, to understand needs and drive alignment with business and development teams.
• Technology Evaluation and Implementation: Assess new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance application processes and recommend their adoption where applicable.
• Architecture and design reviews:Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes.Actively lead and participate in the

Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for Healthcare Business Unit while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering and architecture roles (technical lead, solution architect, enterprise architect)
• Strong experience in understanding non-functional requirements (SLA, response time, real time, near real time, multi‑threading) and ability to create designs that meet the non‑functional requirements.
• 5+ years of full stack development experience
• 5+ years of SQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Redis and any relevant database experience
• 5+ years in cloud platforms (GCP/AWS), microservices, and API design.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AI/ML or Generative AI technologies.
• Experience with DevOps tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Docker, Git) and Kafka.
• experience in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and front‑end frameworks (Angular/JavaScript).
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Strong understanding of healthcare workflows and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred experience in interoperability FHIR HL7 standards
• Experience/certification in one or more cloud platforms (Salesforce, GCP, Azure & AWS) is preferred.
• Experience in large scale migration efforts from legacy technology/Asset to a modern/new Asset is preferred

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related field or equivalent experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full‑time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short‑term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
