Job summary

Humana's Centerwell is seeking a Lead Software Engineer who designs and codes software based on business requirements. You will own end-to-end architecture for AI systems including LLM-powered clinical tools and RAG pipelines.

You will supervise testing, debugging, and fixes, work with product managers, clinicians, and data stakeholders to translate care delivery workflows into high-impact AI features, and ensure HIPAA compliance and Responsible AI standards.

Qualifications

• Leadership of software engineering teams and architectures.
• Experience designing AI-enabled clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Technical Architecture: design and own end-to-end AI system architecture, including LLM tools and RAG pipelines.
• Model Development: evaluate and guide fine-tuning of foundation models with safety and clinical relevance.
• Clinical Partnership: work with product, clinicians, and data teams to shape AI features.
• Compliance & Responsible AI: ensure HIPAA compliance and responsible AI standards.
