Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Lead AI Software Engineer to design and deliver scalable Python microservices and automation for content generation and marketing workflows.

You will integrate diffusion and generative AI models, connect to Python evaluation harnesses, and deploy containerized services on AWS in a fast-moving Kanban setup. You will collaborate with senior architects to ensure high-throughput AI pipelines, maintain robust, containerized FastAPI workloads, and drive continuous improvement

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with Python backend development.
• Experience delivering production apps using generative AI, LLMs, and diffusion models.
• Hands-on with asynchronous backends (e.g., FastAPI) and cloud deployment on AWS or GCP.
• Solid background in automated testing, evaluation harnesses, and MLOps in Python.
• Strong proficiency with Python, FastAPI, and AWS or GCP.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI and diffusion models, including image/video generation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable Python microservices with FastAPI for automated content and marketing material generation.
• Optimize and integrate diffusion models and multimodal generative AI tooling, including image and video generation pipelines.
• Connect generation pipelines to Python-based evaluation harnesses to validate output quality prior to deployment.

• Ensure new model versions integrate into the automated Python evaluation harness with zero regression in output quality.
• Maintain stable, containerized FastAPI microservices on cloud infrastructure with robust error handling.

Requirements

• Proven track record of 5+ years in software engineering with deep expertise in Python backend development
• Demonstrated experience delivering production applications that use generative AI, large language models, and diffusion models
• Hands-on experience with asynchronous backend frameworks such as FastAPI, plus cloud deployment on AWS or GCP
• Solid background in automated testing, evaluation harnesses, and MLOps principles in Python
• Strong proficiency with Python, FastAPI, and AWS or GCP
• Deep understanding of Generative AI and diffusion models, including LLMs and image/video generation
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and Git

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Firefly or commercial creative generation APIs
• Familiarity with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
• Knowledge of Computer Vision libraries such as OpenCV and FFmpeg
• Background in Media & Entertainment or video supply chain
