Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an AI Red Team Lead Engineer to drive offensive security for AI/ML systems, models, data pipelines, and related infrastructure. You will design, execute, and report red team operations, partnering with teams to communicate AI-related risks.

The role requires senior technical leadership, hands-on testing of LLMs and deployment environments, and mentoring engineers. On-site three days per week at U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Eight plus years of relevant experience.
• Strong understanding of information security systems, policies, and procedures.
• Effective communication, presentation skills, leadership, problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proven collaboration and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI Red Team operations, including adversarial testing of models, data pipelines, and deployment environments.
• Develop and maintain custom AI red team tooling, frameworks, and automation to scale testing.
• Perform security research into emerging AI attack techniques, model vulnerabilities, and defensive gaps.
• Partner with detection, engineering, and governance teams to support purple-team and control validation activities.
• Mentor and provide technical leadership to red team engineers.
