Job summary

IBM Software seeks a strategic, hands-on technical leader to shape Confluent’s agentic AI capabilities and internal automation adoption. You will partner with Engineering, Security, and IT to scale AI usage across our platform, accelerating value for customers and the business.

We are looking for a leader with 8+ years driving productivity initiatives in SaaS/cloud environments, experience building distributed systems, and a strong ability to translate strategic AI work into measurable business

Qualifications

8+ years driving strategic productivity initiatives in SaaS/Cloud or developer tools with AI experience.
Expert in building distributed systems and supporting infrastructure.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with AI/ML platforms, LLM integration and workflow automation.
Knowledge of responsible AI practices and governance.
Customer-focused with ability to tie technical work to business KPIs.

Responsibilities

Define and evangelize AI/agentic flows strategy aligning metrics, engineering needs, and platform opportunities.
Build a roadmap for agentic automation features, smart assistants, and AI-driven workflows across engineering.
Lead cross-team projects requiring multi-stakeholder alignment and high code quality.
Oversee AI adoption internally and share use cases externally.
Deliver core agentic workflows that boost engineering productivity and ROI.
Adopt industry standards, guardrails, and quality metrics for AI behavior.
