Humana is seeking a Lead AI Software Engineer to drive design, development and scaling of production‑grade AI platforms. You will lead architectural decisions, mentor engineers and partner with data scientists, product leaders and DevOps to deliver scalable, secure cloud‑native solutions.

Based in one of our tech hubs (Louisville, Nashville, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale, or Dallas) this hybrid role requires hands‑on coding, strong backend skills in Python/Java, and a track record of delivering

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Proven experience building and delivering large‑scale, production‑grade software platforms.
• Strong backend development expertise with Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience designing distributed systems and cloud‑native applications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives from architecture through deployment.
• Experience working in agile environments with frequent delivery and iteration.

Responsabilidades

• Lead AI initiatives, driving architecture, design decisions, and engineering excellence.
• Design and build scalable, cloud‑native AI platforms and services.
• Architect solutions with generative AI, LLMs, and data‑driven apps.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews, and technical planning.
• Set engineering standards and reusable frameworks.
• Provide guidance across the full software lifecycle.
• Build end‑to‑end AI solutions (APIs, microservices, pipelines).
• Collaborate with platform, infra, and DevOps for scalable, observable systems.
• Drive deployment from concept to production in agile environments.
• Evaluate emerging AI tech to accelerate value.
