We’re looking for a hands-on Lead AI Engineer to take ownership of LLM-powered applications, conversational AI and agentic workflows within a financial services environment.

This role combines technical delivery with engineering leadership. You’ll design and build solutions across Snowflake’s AI ecosystem, guide a distributed development team and work directly with stakeholders to bring business requirements into production.

What you’ll be doing

• Build LLM-powered applications using Snowflake Cortex AI, including Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, AI SQL and vector embeddings.


• Develop RAG workflows over unstructured documents and conversational applications using Snowflake Intelligence.


• Engineer scalable applications using Python, SQL, Snowpark and Snowpark Container Services.


• Own solution design, development and CI/CD, with a focus on performance, observability and cost.


• Embed governance, access controls and trusted AI practices into production solutions.


• Lead an onsite/offshore engineering team and collaborate with data engineering, architecture, operations and security stakeholders.

What you’ll bring

• 7+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience, alongside strong experience with its AI capabilities.


• 3+ years building LLM-powered applications, including agentic workflows with measurable outcomes.


• 5+ years of Python and SQL development experience.


• Practical experience with Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, AI SQL and vector embeddings.


• Experience building conversational agentic applications in Snowflake Intelligence and working with Snowflake managed or custom MCP servers.


• Strong Git and CI/CD skills, familiarity with LLM evaluation, and experience leading an AI development team.


• The ability to explain technical decisions clearly and work confidently with business stakeholders.

Experience with Snowflake-hosted LLMs, Model Registry, Feature Store and Horizon governance would also be valuable.
