Capital One is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to build responsible AI systems and scalable AI infrastructure. You will partner with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance banking services.

Ideal candidates will have strong Python/Java/Scala, hands-on experience with LLMs, and a passion for rigorous, responsible AI across a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/AI/EE with required experience.
• 4+ years of AI/ML algorithm development or related tech.
• 4+ years of Python/Go/Scala/Java programming.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a cross-functional team to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Leverage Open Source and SaaS AI technologies such as AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, Nemo Guardrails, PyTorch.
• Invent and introduce state-of-the-art LLM optimization techniques for scale, latency, and cost.
• Contribute to the technical vision and long-term roadmap of foundational AI systems.
