Job summary

PowerSchool Group LLC is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI solutions. You will lead agentic workflows, RAG applications, and enterprise integrations while mentoring a small team of AI engineers and automation specialists.

You will translate business problems into scalable AI systems, ship weekly releases, and contribute to governance and best practices for responsible AI use within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 6–10+ years of software engineering experience with recent hands‑on work in AI/LLM systems.
• Proven experience building and deploying: LLM-powered applications, Agentic workflows, Automation solutions in production environments.
• Deployment experience in Cloud - AWS, Azure.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AI tools such as Codex, Claude Code, Gemini, NotebookLM, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy agentic AI workflows and products for customers.
• Build production-grade systems including multi-agent workflows and RAG-based applications.
• Develop and implement prompt engineering strategies, orchestration logic, API integrations and data pipelines.
• Translate business problems into working AI systems and deliver weekly or bi-weekly releases.
• Provide technical guidance to a team of AI engineers and mentorship.
