Noon is looking for a Lead AI Engineer to scale AI infrastructure and product capabilities. You will build LLM-powered features, and define the technical direction of AI systems.
Candidates should have over 5 years experience in software engineering and 2 years of hands-on experience with machine learning models. A competitive salary of $300,000-$400,000, equity options, and best-in-class health insurance are offered.
We are on a mission to reinvent how designers work in the AI era. We’re backed by top investors including First Round, Chemistry, Homebrew, Scribble and senior leaders from OpenAI, Meta, Google, Ramp, Stripe and more. We’re building the next-generation AI design tool for product teams.
We’re hiring an Lead AI Engineer to own and scale our AI infrastructure and product capabilities. You’ll build and ship production‑grade, LLM‑powered features, define technical direction for AI systems, and turn research into reliable, measurable product impact.
This is a hands‑on role at the intersection of research, model training, and product—you’ll design the pipelines, evaluate tradeoffs, and lead execution end to end.
Own the training‑to‑inference pipeline for large code models—optimize inference with quantization, distillation, and caching techniques.
Research, design, and fine‑tune domain‑specific LLMs for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and multi‑turn reasoning.
Design and optimize AI pipelines (prompting, retrieval, agents, evaluation)
Lead work on agentic systems and multi‑step tool calling
Establish standards for model evaluation, benchmarking, and observability
Partner closely with product, design, and engineering to ship AI features users rely on
5+ years software engineering experience
2+ years of hands‑on experience designing, training, tuning and deploying machine‑learning models.
Practical experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) and LLMs
Experience with data acquisition, data cleaning, and data pipelines
Knowledge of model optimizations (quantization, distillation, LoRA, pruning).
Experience building agentic AI systems
Ability to own systems end‑to‑end
