We’re expanding fast and looking for a Lead AI Developer to join our core technical team. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing and optimizing our AI architecture, guiding junior engineers, and owning key development tracks across both Azure and AWS ML ecosystems.

Role Overview

As our Lead AI Developer, you will be responsible for building advanced generative AI systems, leading RAG and embedding-based development, and working with enterprise-grade datasets and compliance requirements. You will architect, develop, and deploy intelligent applications using Azure OpenAI, Python-based ML frameworks, and Azure/AWS infrastructure.

This is a leadership position, so we are seeking someone with hands-on expertise and a strategic mindset to help scale our AI products.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Development

  • Design and deploy scalable AI solutions using Azure OpenAI and Python ML frameworks (Transformers, LangChain, Semantic Kernel).

  • Build and optimize RAG pipelines using Azure Cognitive Search, Cosmos DB, or Amazon Kendra.

  • Architect and deploy containerized AI services using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS/EKS), and Terraform/ARM templates.

• Model Integration & Optimization

  • Integrate OpenAI APIs with private datasets for secure, controlled .

  • Fine-tune or adapt pre-trained models for legal and enterprise document , summarization, and data extraction.

  • Evaluate and improve system performance using retrieval metrics, latency profiling, and token usage optimization.

• Leadership & Mentorship

  • Lead AI product development cycles and interface with DevOps, frontend, and backend teams.

  • Conduct code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level AI engineers.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to turn business problems into AI-driven solutions.

• Compliance & Security

  • Ensure data privacy and security in accordance with HITRUST, SOC 2, and HIPAA standards.

  • Architect multi-tenant and isolated environments per customer using Azure/AWS and access controls.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning, NLP, or AI application development.

• Expert-level Python development skills, including libraries like LangChain, Transformers, FastAPI, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.

• Deep experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, and Azure Cognitive Services.

• Strong knowledge of AWS AI/ML tools (SageMaker, Kendra, Comprehend, Lambda).

• Proven experience building and scaling RAG architectures, embeddings pipelines, and vector search (FAISS, Pinecone, Azure Cognitive Search).

• Solid grasp of security, encryption, and data governance in cloud AI deployments.

Nice to Have

• Experience deploying generative AI tools in regulated industries (legal, finance, healthcare).

• Hands-on experience with Semantic Kernel, OpenAI function calling, or Autogen agents.

• Familiarity with iManage, NetDocuments, or legal document systems is a plus.

• Experience leading AI teams or being the senior-most engineer on AI initiatives.
