Job summary

Quantum Technologies. LLC seeks a hands-on Lead Software Engineer in Chicago to design, develop, and scale cloud-native solutions. You will lead architecture, APIs, testing, and deployment while driving adoption of Generative AI, LLMs, and data-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, setting engineering standards, and collaborating with product, cybersecurity, and infra teams to ensure production readiness and secure, scalable delivery.

Qualifications

8+ years of progressive software engineering experience across APIs and distributed systems.
Experience leading technical delivery through full SDLC, architecture to deployment.
Strong knowledge of API integration, CI/CD, DevOps, and production support.
Working knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, and deployment of scalable cloud-native applications.
Evaluate emerging tech including Generative AI, LLMs, and data-driven apps.
Translate requirements into technical designs, roadmaps, and plans.
Develop secure, scalable applications with microservices and APIs.
Mentor engineers, set standards, and conduct design reviews.
Collaborate with product, cybersecurity, data, and infra teams.
Define proof-of-concept criteria, tests, and production readiness.
