Job summary

Apple Inc. in Santa Clara, CA, seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Agentic AI and Intelligent Reasoning organization.

You will define vision, strategy, and execution for AI agents, planning engines, memory architectures, and orchestration platforms powering Siri, Apple Intelligence, Spotlight, and Safari. You will mentor senior engineers, collaborate with foundation models, retrieval, knowledge, and product teams, and ensure privacy, reliability, and user trust while delivering

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in CS/AI/ML or related field.
• 8+ years leading AI/ML/distributed systems at scale.
• Proven track record delivering AI platforms from research to production.
• Strong experience with large language models and intelligent agents.
• Experience guiding cross-functional teams and long-term technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for Agentic AI and Knowledge Platform.
• Lead end-to-end engineering and applied research for AI agents and multi-hop reasoning.
• Develop architectures that orchestrate LLMs, retrieval, planning, memory, and tools.
• Partner with foundation model, retrieval, knowledge, ranking, search, and product teams while maintaining privacy.
• Mentor engineering managers and build multi-year roadmaps for AI across devices.
