Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior engineer to design, build, and harden agentic AI applications that interact with enterprise systems. You will lead a small cross-functional pod, move solutions from concept to production, and ensure security, scalability, and governance.

You will prototype rapidly using AI-assisted development, own data readiness in Microsoft Fabric, and collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building agentic or multi-agent AI systems in production.
• Strong command of state management, concurrency, idempotency, and authorization.
• Extensive software development experience in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, or Java.
• Hands-on integration experience with enterprise APIs and data platforms.
• Knowledge of retrieval-augmented generation, prompt design, agent orchestration, and tool use.
• Strong cloud skills, ideally on Azure, with end-to-end provisioning and operation.
• Prototype rapidly using AI-assisted development and show senior independent judgment.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar enterprise data platforms (preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI Foundry, Lyzr, Moveworks (preferred).
• Integration with Oracle HCM, SAP, Workday, Salesforce, Dynamics 365, or ServiceNow (preferred).
• Familiarity with IAM, data classification and residency, responsible AI policy, and model-output evaluation (preferred).
• Background blending software engineering with consulting or corporate function disciplines (preferred).
• Experience delivering short iterative cycles with non-technical stakeholders (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and harden agentic AI applications that read from and write to enterprise systems of record.
• Embed with Corporate Function teams as the technical lead of a small multifunctional pod.
• Move solutions from problem definition to prototype to production.
• Run iterative build cycles by aligning on outcomes, prototyping, gathering feedback, refining, and finalizing.
• Own security, reliability, scalability, observability, and governed write-back to source systems.
• Select low-code, agent-builder, or custom-code approaches appropriate to the problem.
• Ensure data is AI-ready, modeled, governed, documented, and auditable in Microsoft Fabric.
• Set and document reusable technical patterns, components, and guardrails.
• Quickly develop credibility in new business domains and challenge requirements constructively.
• Complete a practical build exercise, systems design discussion, and stakeholder conversation during assessment.
