Job summary

Citi is seeking a Lead Agentic AI Engineer in Irving, TX, to drive the design and integration of agentic AI across our Controls Technology platform. You will craft context engineering, RAG pipelines, and multi-agent orchestration, leveraging pre-trained foundation models and production-grade tooling.

You will work with cross-functional teams, implement robust agent harnesses, and ensure scalable, safe deployments with strong governance and observability.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in generative AI concepts including foundation models and embeddings.
• Experience building RAG systems with multi-vector retrieval and re-ranking.
• Proven ability to design graph-based retrieval and Graph RAG pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AI architects to design and implement generative and agentic AI solutions.
• Architect context engineering strategies for memory management and token efficiency.
• Design and implement prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Build and optimize RAG systems with hybrid search and multi-vector retrieval.
• Design knowledge graphs and Graph RAG architectures for multi-hop reasoning.
• Architect agentic workflows using Google ADK and other frameworks.
• Design agent harnesses with governance, feedback loops, and isolation controls.
• Integrate agents with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Agent2Agent (A2A).
• Ensure deployment, observability, and maintainability in production environments.
• Stay current with advances and mentor junior team members.
