Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a Lead Manufacturing Test Equipment Engineer in Clearwater to own automated test systems for complex electronic aerospace products. You will lead design, develop and deploy production test equipment, and deliver safe, high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions.

You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering, mentor others, and drive test strategy, DFx, and improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years designing automated test systems for complex electronic products in production or high‑reliability environments.
• Knowledge and experience in C, C++, C# software development.
• Fundamental knowledge of electrical design for electrical/electronic equipment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of production test equipment from concept through deployment.
• Provide hands‑on technical support to manufacturing, debugging test systems and equipment.
• Develop automated test software using TestStand, C/C++/C# in Visual Studio, and LabWindows/CVI.
• Influence test strategy, data analytics, DFT input, and board‑level test in manufacturing.
• Create test design docs: requirements, specs, schematics, procedures, and verification reports.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering to align with requirements.
• Mentor other test engineers and provide technical direction within project teams.
• Communicate status and mitigation plans to leadership and customers as needed.
