Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks an Electrical Systems Engineer to lead high‑reliability digital power conversion and electric drive systems for aerospace applications. You will drive architecture, detailed design, verification, and qualification of TMS control systems and high‑voltage power stages, coordinating with hardware, test, and manufacturing teams.

You will guide insulation coordination, HV testing, and lab automation initiatives while mentoring early‑career engineers and contributing to technology

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in power electronics or related field.
• 15+ years of electrical systems engineering experience in power electronics and aerospace.
• Proven leadership in design, verification, and qualification of high‑voltage, high‑power converters.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level requirements flow-down for digital power conversion hardware.
• Document and communicate design decisions, analyses, and test outcomes.
• Lead architecture and detailed design of digital power conversion and HV circuits.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities including environmental tests.
• Define insulation coordination and HV design rules for aerospace applications.
• Design and review PCBs and schematics for power stages and control boards.
• Lead HV testing and qualification activities and lab automation initiatives.
• Provide technical mentorship to engineers and contribute to roadmaps.
