Job summary

K2 Space Corporation a frontier aerospace company, seeks a Mechanical Engineering Supply Chain Lead to source, qualify and manage critical mechanical components and BOMs for high‑power satellite assemblies.

The role emphasizes supplier development, planning, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and finance to meet aggressive production milestones. Travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supply chain or aerospace engineering experience on mechanism components.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing for bearings, motors, encoders and adhesives in mechanical/structural assemblies.
• Manage the BOM for all owned mechanical and structural assemblies.
• Develop planning processes to improve mechanical assembly demand accuracy.
• Develop new software tools to support better supply chain controls (quality clauses, logistics, inventory).
• Lead collaboration with engineering to ensure milestones hit deadlines.
