Job summary

GuideTech LLC is seeking a Board Designer to design and develop advanced embedded hardware powering avionics and autonomous aerospace systems. You will lead board designs from concept through production, collaborating with hardware, FPGA, and software teams to deliver reliable real-time systems.

Based onsite with hybrid flexibility in Lenexa, KS, you will work on ESCs, gimbal controllers, UAV power boards, and AI platforms. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and releasing complex multilayer PCBAs/CCAs into volume production.
• Deep understanding of high-speed, mixed-signal embedded hardware systems.
• Experience with FPGA SoCs (Zynq) and Vivado for hardware integration and debugging.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex multilayer PCBAs/CCAs for UAV, aerospace, and AI platforms.
• Create schematics, define design constraints, support PCB layout, and prepare designs for release.
• Lead hardware development from concept through production and support transition to manufacturing.
• Collaborate with hardware, FPGA, and embedded software teams to build real-time systems.
• Perform failure analysis, root-cause investigations, and yield improvements.
• Develop and support production test methodologies, fixtures, and functional testing.
