Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company seeks a Principal Engineer, Advanced Thermal Modeling to drive global modeling capability across BAC’s product and application space. You will lead a small expert team, set strategy and deliver scalable modeling frameworks and validated methods.

You will translate thermodynamics and heat transfer expertise into reusable simulations, tools, and workflows, coordinating with customers and partners while maintaining a high technical bar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Systems, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• ~12+ years in thermal modeling and simulation.
• 2+ years leading technical teams and mentoring engineers.
• Experience developing and deploying thermal models and software.
• Experience with modeling and experimental validation.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the modeling strategy, architecture, and governing frameworks.
• Translate thermodynamics and heat transfer knowledge into reusable models and tools.
• Set standards and acceptance criteria for performance evaluation.
• Lead unit and system-level modeling and validation with data correlation.
• Interface with customers and partners as technical authority on modeling.
