Job Summary
The Pediatric Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team with the division of Pediatric Critical Care at Children’s Medical Center (practice sites at the Dallas and Plano campuses). This position primarily functions in the Intermediate Care Unit for patients with a complex anatomy and physiology. The patients housed in the Intermediate Care Unit no longer require intensive care level support but do require more support than feasible on the general floor. This position requires a high degree of autonomy, critical thinking, and clinical expertise in working with complex and critically ill pediatric patients. The APP is responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and health promotion and care coordination for patients and their families.
