1. Position Summary and Criteria

The Central Region Jefferson Health Comprehensive Weight Management Advanced Practice Clinician (APC) will have 3+ years of clinical experience as a Master's prepared Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The role involves 80% clinical duties and 20% administrative duties, unless otherwise approved.

The Lead APC is responsible for various responsibilities including ensuring appropriate representation of APCs, working closely with organizational leaders to standardize care, and contributing to the development of department-specific protocols to enhance service delivery.

The APC functions in an expanded role, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory and organizational standards, and holds privileges granted by Jefferson Health at respective locations.

1. Clinical Duties

*As outlined in the APC job description for the respective department of hire.

1. Administrative Duties

• Maintain communication between the APC team and leadership to ensure organization and information flow.
• Partner with relevant leaders on initiatives such as recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.
• Ensure APC training and onboarding documents are current and oversee new team member orientation.
• Support quality, compliance, and performance initiatives to improve care delivery.
• Participate in and support outreach, training, and education efforts.
• Review clinical documentation periodically to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain competencies for privileges and participate in professional evaluations.
• Lead or participate in various projects and initiatives to improve department functions.
• Address clinical performance concerns and collaborate on performance improvement plans.
