Job Summary

Performs frontline supervision of Emergency Registrars, ensuring accurate and complete patient registrations, managing employee schedules, training new hires, and maintaining high performance standards and patient relations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Supervises daily work within the specialty area, manages schedules, assists with training, evaluations, and acts as liaison to the admitting supervisor and department manager.
• Verifies patient insurance coverage and ensures prior authorization when needed.
• Maintains efficient communication with hospital departments to facilitate admissions.
• Stays current on insurance carrier requirements through ongoing communication.
