Job summary

The Senior Engineer – Additive Manufacturing at Ohio State University’s Center for Design and Manufacturing Excellence (CDME) leads R&D in additive manufacturing, collaborates with industry partners to scope projects, and drives the end-to-end sales process with customers.

You will write technical reports and proposals, coordinate multidisciplinary tasks with faculty, staff, and students, manage projects to milestones and budgets, and help expand funding opportunities through research and

At least 4 years in additive manufacturing and running equipment.
Experience in laser powder bed fusion and material development.
Proven project management and proposal writing experience.
Experience engaging customers in a multi-disciplinary R&D environment.

Responsibilities

Lead additive manufacturing R&D efforts for CDME.
Scope projects with industry partners and manage sales processes with customers.
Lead writer on technical reports and proposals to sponsors.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary tasks with OSU faculty, staff, and students.
Ensure projects meet milestones, deliverables, cost and schedule.
