Job description

Location: Atlanta, GA

About Corgi

Corgi is the first AI insurance company replacing every part of the insurance value chain with AI. We have raised over $378 million at a $4.1 billion valuation, we are EBITDA positive, and we are scaling quickly across commercial lines.

We are full stack by design. We own carriers, reinsurers, captives, RRGs, and more, which means the products we build are ours end to end rather than someone else's paper. We work out of offices in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Salt Lake City, and London.

We are looking for an FCAS who will own admitted P&C rate, rule, and form filings end to end, from initial regulatory assessment through Department of Insurance disposition and implementation.

Compensation

$150,000 to $350,000 depending on experience, plus equity. As an early hire you will hold a meaningful stake in the company you are helping to license.

You Will Be Working With:
  • Our Founding Actuary (FCAS).
  • Our head of portfolio risk (FIA).
  • Two quantitative pricing researchers.
  • Our forward deployed engineers.
What You’ll Do
  • Sign rate, rule, and form filings under your own name from day one rather than supporting someone else’s signature.
  • Build rating plans and filing strategy from a blank page instead of maintaining inherited ones.
  • Own the objection cycle: draft exhibits, respond to interrogatories, and move filings to approval without losing quarters to back and forth.
  • Manage ISO and NCCI loss cost adoptions, loss cost multiplier filings, and deviations across a growing map of states.
  • Develop reviewer relationships across the states we are licensed in and the ones we are entering next.
  • Build the actuarial function you will eventually lead, including supervising the associates who qualify under your review.
Required
  • Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).
  • Passed Exam 6 (United States).
  • At least three years of actuarial work experience.
  • Qualified under the US Qualification Standards to issue the statements of actuarial opinion this role requires.
Nice To Have
  • You have authored and submitted filings through SERFF under your own name, and you know the mechanics of exhibits, objection responses, and filing timelines from experience rather than observation.
  • You understand how DOI actuarial reviewers in our key states actually evaluate filings, and you can move an interrogatory toward approval without burning months. Time spent inside a state insurance department is a strong plus.
  • Your DOI work spans both personal lines and bureau-referenced commercial lines, including NCCI and ISO loss cost adoptions, loss cost multiplier filings, and deviations.
  • You have supported predictive-model-based filings through actuarial objections and are comfortable with the growing state scrutiny of complex rating algorithms and data usage.
  • You bring three or more reviewed years of P&C reserving work, giving you a realistic path to serving as our appointed actuary and bringing the annual statement opinion in-house over time.
  • You learn quickly, take ownership from start to finish, stay technically fluent across pricing, data, and filing tools, and are happy wearing multiple hats in a company that is building its actuarial department rather than inheriting one.
