Job summary

Auto Club Enterprises seeks a Lead Actuarial Predictive Modeler to design, develop, and implement pricing models and segmentation strategies for insurance products. The role collaborates with Actuarial, Product, Underwriting, and IT to translate business objectives into defensible pricing solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.

The position leads end-to-end pricing initiatives, manages accelerated timelines, and drives high-quality results across projects in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Actuarial, Statistical, or Data Science or equivalent.
• 7-9 years of experience building and deploying predictive models in insurance.
• Demonstrated success implementing predictive modeling solutions for insurance use cases.
• Strong SQL skills.
• Python skills preferred; other modeling tools a plus.
• Fellow or Associate of Casualty Actuarial Society preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex topics to business leaders.
• Ability to work across cross-functional groups.
• Actuarial pricing and predictive modeling knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Build predictive models focusing on the most difficult and complex projects.
• Lead design of models best-suited for specific tasks and execute plans.
• Identify and propose new technologies and tools for Modeling and Analytics.
• Lead communication of project results to business partners with clear explanations.
• Mentor team members to assist with development and career paths.
• Ensure all projects have proper documentation for regulatory, legal, or business concerns.
• Act autonomously with advanced knowledge of ratemaking, actuarial methods, and data science techniques.
