Job summary

Sunoco LP in Dallas is seeking a Lead Accountant - Wholesale to support financial analysis of midstream terminals, inventory, margins, and operating expenses. You will work with internal and external customers to research variances and complex transactions.

The role involves assisting with purchase accounting, M&A integration, and preparation of high-level journal entries, while ensuring SOX compliance and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience.
• Prior fuel inventory and general ledger accounting experience preferred.
• Strong experience in SAP S/4 FIORI/Winshuttle.
• IFRS and US GAAP preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

• Performs audit tasks, as well as various duties and projects assigned by management.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years of related experience.
• Prior fuel inventory and general ledger accounting experience preferred
• Strong experience in SAP S/4 FIORI/Winshuttle.
• Experience working with Right Angle preferred
• IFRS and US GAAP preferred
• Strong analytic and data analysis skills required, especially MS Excel.
• Must display good judgment and be able to work independently, as needed.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Must be flexible, adaptable and have a high level of initiative.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

• The Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience
• The Senior Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5-8 years of relevant job related experience
• The Lead Accountant/Analyst level requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job related experience

• Usually, normal office working conditions.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
