Job summary

Sunoco LP, a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution company, seeks an Analyst - Wholesale in Dallas to perform accounting tasks, enter transactions, and support financial reporting. The role focuses on reconciling drafts, AR/AP drafting, and ensuring SOX compliance while assisting the AR team and other departments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
  • 0-2 years of related work experience; Billing/Accounts Receivable/General Ledger experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Resourceful, analytical, and solutions-oriented.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to read and interpret financial reports.

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile EFT drafts to vendor remits.
  • Complete AR and AP drafting for customers.
  • Investigate differences between drafted bank statements and vendor remittances.
  • Analyze and support fuel items drafted but not yet entered into the accounting system.
  • Assist and back up the AR team as needed.
  • Perform other duties and ad hoc projects; support process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls.

Sunoco LPis a leading energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership operating across 32 countries and territories in North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. The Partnership’s midstream operations include an extensive network of approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline and over 160 terminals. This critical infrastructure complements the Partnership’s fuel distribution operations, which distribute over 15 billion gallons annually to approximately 11,000 Sunoco and partner-branded retail locations, as well as independent dealers and commercial customers.

Summary:

Provides accounting knowledge to enter transactions, generate reports, gather financial information, and perform analysis based on specific tasks. Perform a variety of regular and recurring Sunoco LP revenue and accounting functions, including but not limited to:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile EFT drafts to vendor Remits.
  • Complete AR and AP drafting for customers.
  • Investigate any differences between drafted bank statement and vendor remittances.

Required Skills
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Working Conditions:
  • Usually, normal office working conditions.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
