Cortica is seeking a Lead Behavior Technician - School Based Support in San Diego, CA to provide direct behavior-analytic services to students with autism and related needs in school settings. You will supervise School Behavior Technicians, model best practices, and guide implementation of behavior intervention strategies.

Formación

• 1+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• 1+ years of experience providing ABA services in school or clinical settings.
• Ability to obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain BCAT or RBT credential within 30 days where required by the district.
• Must maintain reliable transportation and travel between work sites.
• Ability to obtain a first aid/CPR certification and TB clearance.

Lead Behavior Technician - School Based Support

Cortica is looking for a Lead Behavior Technician - School Based Support to join its growing team in San Diego, CA!

The Lead School Behavior Technician provides direct behavior-analytic services to students with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental differences in school settings.

In addition to delivering direct student support, the Lead BT serves as the direct supervisor, providing administrative support and performance management for School Behavior Technicians, modeling best practices and offering guidance in the implementation of behavior intervention strategies.

This role is essential in ensuring consistent, high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming support for students and school teams.

What will you do?

• Provide direct implementation of behavior-analytic services to students in one-on-one and group settings within school environments.
• Lead by example in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs aligned with students' IEPs and educational goals.
• Support and mentor school-based BTs by modeling strategies, answering questions, and troubleshooting implementation challenges.
• Substitute in schools as needed to ensure continuity of services and provide high-quality support in the absence of assigned BTs.
• Collaborate with Behavior Analysts, educators, and school teams to integrate behavioral strategies into classroom routines.

• Collect and review data to monitor student progress and support BTs in accurate data collection practices.

• You hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You bring 1+ years of experience leading and managing direct reports.
• You bring 1+ years of experience providing ABA services in school or clinical settings.
• You can obtain assigned safety training certification within 30 days of employment.
• You can obtain and maintain Board Certified Autism Technician (BCAT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential within 30 days of employment, where required by the district.
• You can maintain reliable transportation and travel between work sites.
• You can obtain a first aid/CPR certification and a tuberculosis (TB) clearance.

Your Compensation & Benefits

• $2,000 continuing education stipend.
• Receive competitive compensation, $21.60/hr to $28.98/hr , depending on experience.
