Aircraft Maintenance Technician Responsibilities
- Use available manpower effectively to accomplish task assignments from Hangar/Line Manager or MAC Maintenance Control, ensuring reliability and safety in compliance with MAC, manufacturer, and FAA policies, procedures, manuals, and regulations.
- Assign and monitor daily task assignments to mechanics.
- Provide technical assistance and work on aircraft as required.
- Ensure mechanics maintain current training status on assigned tasks.
- Perform Quality Control checks on work to ensure safety and reliability.
- Report daily aircraft status and man-hour utilization to the Hangar/Line Manager.
- Complete all paperwork accurately for aircraft and components in accordance with MAC standards.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Maintain aircraft in compliance with safety, legality, and reliability standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical and mental requirements: Heavy physical effort required occasionally; continuous mental and visual attention needed.
Qualifications
- Airframe and Power Plant License (A&P).
- Extensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical systems and interactions.
- Thorough understanding of FAA regulations.
- Proficiency with maintenance manuals, IPC, SRM, and troubleshooting documents.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, work orders, and task cards.
- Knowledge of aircraft accessories, components, and hardware.
- Experience estimating hours and materials for projects.
- Understanding of aircraft fasteners and applications.
- Ability to operate aircraft systems and perform engine run-ups and engine trims.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Good command of English, both written and verbal.
- Valid driver license.
Position Requirements
- Wear appropriate PPE (e.g., safety glasses).
- Responsible for maintenance documentation and references for Class III ACMP.

- Successful completion of basic electrical and electronic classes administered by MAC.
Working Conditions
- Work performed in a shop environment; occasional travel to line stations.
- Exposure to elements, but generally manageable.
- Work at different stations or shifts as needed.
