Job summary

The Extension Program Coordinator, 4-H Youth Development supports the promotion, expansion, and implementation of University of Illinois Extension 4-H Youth Development Programs in the schools and communities.

This is a 100% full-time Civil Service position with responsibilities including program coordination, volunteer recruitment, and marketing to promote 4-H opportunities. The role requires working evenings and weekends and travel within communities served.

Qualifications

• Must be able to plan, organize, and implement youth-focused educational programs.
• Strong communication, presentation, and engagement with youth audiences.
• Working knowledge of youth development topics and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate planning of educational activities in collaboration with Extension staff.
• Recruit, screen, and coordinate adult 4-H volunteers.
• Develop marketing plans to recruit volunteers and youth participants.
• Maintain records and provide monthly reports to the County Extension Director.
