Job summary

The University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a 4-H Program Educator to lead county-based 4-H programming and coordinate volunteers in Lafayette County, WI. This role focuses on program administration, volunteer management, and building external partnerships to strengthen youth development.

The position is based in Darlington, with some statewide travel, requiring in-person work, and occasional evening or weekend commitments to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth, particularly in a programming capacity and with volunteers.
• Experience supporting or working in youth development, Extension, or volunteer-focused programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide management, training, and support of adult and youth Volunteers, utilizing best practices.
• Lead the implementation of programs, policies, and procedures through oversight of day-to-day activities for program staff and volunteers.
• Identify, promote, and maintain external partnerships to support the outreach program.
• Schedule and secure resources and communicate logistics in support of an outreach program.
• Deliver outreach program content and materials to community members.
• Research, develop, and facilitate outreach program content and materials.
• Develop and evaluate curriculum and programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
• May assist with the monitoring of outreach program budget spending.
