Job summary

Elmet Technologies in Euclid, Ohio seeks a Production Supervisor for the 3rd Shift to lead daily manufacturing operations. You will supervise frontline staff, ensure safety, quality, and productivity, and partner with Maintenance, Planning, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues. Strong problem-solving on the shop floor is required.

This hands-on leadership role emphasizes coaching, performance management, and continuous improvement to drive excellence across the production line.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of manufacturing experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory or frontline leadership experience.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Manage shift staffing, work assignments, priorities, and workflow.
• Monitor production performance and address gaps in real time.
• Ensure employees follow SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements.
• Reinforce safe work practices and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with Maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with Planning to align schedules and capacity.
• Work with Quality and Engineering on production issues.
• Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable.
• Coach and develop production employees, provide feedback and reviews.
• Support continuous improvement and communicate priorities across shifts.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
