Job summary

Unique Industries, Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for the third shift in the Receiving Department at our Virginia warehouse. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring accurate processing of orders, and coordinating workflows to keep the department productive.

You will train new hires, monitor safety and quality, and liaise with management to meet department goals. Prior distribution/manufacturing experience is valued; compensation is determined by qualifications and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with management and co-workers to meet departmental goals.
• Strong mathematical skills are essential for this position.
• Proficient typing and computer skills; MS Office products. Working knowledge of JDE / WMS essential.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofreading materials and meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and follow through on actions.
• Ability to work independently with little direction.
• One-year experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist department manager/Sr. Lead in organizing and delegating duties to ensure efficient department operation.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in completion of all work orders.
• Troubleshoot problems in the work process and relay findings to supervisor.
• Provide training to new hires and existing employees.
• Maintain daily logs/records for proper reporting.
• Direct stacking, labeling, inspection, and quality control for all orders.
• Interact with all area staff to understand issues and improve processes.
• Support safety and conduct coaching for co-workers.

About Our Opportunity

We are seeking a Team Lead– Third Shift, to work in the Receiving Department, Virginia warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Assists department manager/Sr. Lead in organizing and delegating the responsibilities and duties of the line staff/associates so the department runs efficiently and productivity is maintained.
• Examines work of the specific department ensuring 100% accuracy in completion of all work orders.
• Troubleshoots problems with the work process and relays this information to manager or supervisor.
• Assists employees with work process problems.
• Maintains daily logs and records for proper record-keeping and reporting.
• Directs the proper stacking, labeling, and inspection and quality for all orders processed through the department.
• Effectively maintains work area.
• Interacts with all areas of the department to understand issues and assess needs to improve consistency and integrity of processes.
• Assists department manager and/or Senior Lead with providing work direction to area employees, bringing safety concerns to supervisor’s attention and providing performance feedback on co-workers.
• Provides training to new hires and existing employees.
• Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Stays current with developments within the manufacturing and distribution field and shares expertise with others.
• Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others, and works to maintain constructive working relationships.
• A commitment to company wide quality and safety is required.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

Pay

• We offer competitive pay based on job-related skills, experience, relevant education, training, and geographic location.
• The minimum pay for this position is $20.00
• Actual pay will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s compensation guidelines, and business needs.
