Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a hands-on Landscaping Crew Lead to guide and train a small crew while performing high-quality landscape work on site at the Charlotte Airport Traffic Control Tower.

The role is part‑time with a flexible schedule and outdoor work in varying weather conditions. You will lead two days per month, assign tasks, mentor the crew, and coordinate with management on scheduling and supplies.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of hands-on commercial landscaping experience, including mowing, trimming, planting, and general grounds maintenance.
  • Experience operating landscaping equipment safely.
  • Understanding of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
  • Follows OSHA safety guidelines on the job site.
  • Communicates clearly, professionally, and respectfully with team members and clients.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a small team of landscaping laborers during scheduled shifts (2 days/month, every other week, 8 hours per shift).
  • Assign daily tasks and ensure team members understand expectations and safety protocols.
  • Provide on‑the‑job guidance, support, and training to crew members as needed.
  • Actively participate in landscaping tasks alongside the team, including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and general grounds maintenance.
  • Ensure proper care and use of tools and equipment during each shift.
  • Conduct end‑of‑day walkthroughs to verify all assigned tasks were completed to company standards.
  • Identify and address any missed or substandard work before shift ends.
  • Maintain basic records of work completed, attendance, and any incidents or equipment issues.
  • Communicate with management regarding scheduling, supply needs, or personnel concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies.

  • Flexible Schedule: 1 Day a Week – Every Other Week
  • Shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm (Times Will Vary Based on Inclement Weather)
  • Location: Charlotte Airport Traffic Control Tower

We’re looking for a hands‑on Landscaping Crew Lead who loves the outdoors and enjoys helping others succeed. You’ll work side‑by‑side with the crew, guiding and training them while doing high‑quality landscape work yourself.

What You’ll Need

  • Must be able to hear and respond to verbal instructions, equipment sounds, and environmental cues.
  • Involves navigating uneven terrain, slopes, and potentially slippery or muddy surfaces.
  • May require wearing personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear protection, and boots.
