Job summary

Community Charter School of Paterson (CCSP) seeks a Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant (LDTC) to join the Child Study Team. The LDTC will conduct academic evaluations, consult with teachers on instructional strategies, and support IEP development and implementation for students with learning disabilities and related exceptionalities.

The role emphasizes compliance with NJ policies, regular IEP meetings, MTSS involvement, and data-driven progress monitoring.

Qualifications

New Jersey Certification as an LDT-C is required.
Master's degree in Special Education or related field is required.
Minimum of three years of teaching experience, with CST evaluation experience preferred.
Proficiency in standardized educational achievement and processing assessments.
Knowledge of NJAC 6A:14, IDEA, and NJ special education criteria.
Spanish language proficiency preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive educational evaluations for CST referrals and support IEP development.
Participate in eligibility conferences, IEP meetings, and annual reviews as part of CST.
Provide instructional consultation and identify accommodations and services for students with IEPs.
Ensure compliance with regulatory timelines and document all case-related information accurately.
Monitor student progress and provide data-driven recommendations to IEP teams.
Maintain required documentation and coordinate with CST members and coordinators.
