Job summary

Billings Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse for LDRP – Inpatient Obstetrics at the Main Campus in Billings, MT. The role involves day/evening/night shifts and weekends with full-time status (0.75 or greater).

Starting wage is DOE and relocation or tuition loan reimbursement may be available. Under supervision, you will apply nursing processes and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality obstetric care, document accurately, and maintain safety standards across shifts

Qualifications

  • RN license in Montana or compact with ability to obtain MT registration
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience
  • ACLS certification preferred or able to complete within two years

Responsibilities

  • Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
  • Ensure accurate documentation in patient records
  • Maintain safety standards and respond to emergencies

Shift: Day, Evenings, Nights, Weekends
Employment Status: Full-Time (.75 or greater)
Hours per Pay Period: 0.90 = 72 hours every two weeks (Non-Exempt)
Starting Wage DOE: $38.91 - $61.21

THIS POSITION MAY BEELIGIBLE FOR RELOCATION REIMBURSEMENT, AND TUITIONLOAN REPAYMENT.

Under generalsupervision, utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning,implementation and evaluation, and theoretical/clinical skills in thepromotion/maintenance of health. Incorporates evidence-based nursing practicesconsistent with national standards and which support quality outcomes. Assumesresponsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing care. Directs theplan of care while maintaining professionalism.

Essential Job Functions
  • Utilizing a holistic approach and evidence basednursing practices, incorporates the nursing process into the goal-directed
  • plan of care for the patient. Collaborates with theinterdisciplinary care team to execute a plan of care appropriate to the needsof the patients.
  • Ensures complete, accurate and timely entry intopatient medical record as indicated by patient condition and documentationguidelines, consistent with departmental policies and procedures.
  • Adheres to Billings Clinic safety standards, policiesand practices. Anticipates and identifies problems and safety issues, theninitiates appropriate action.
  • Maintains appropriate skill/knowledge and applicationof relevant and commonly used equipment specific to area, pharmacology andlaboratory values based on disease process or physiological status.
  • Utilizes evidence based practice, supported by nursingresearch, within specialty area.
  • Utilizes performance improvement principles to assessand improve the quality of patient/resident care. Incorporates the Magnet Modelin transforming the work environment and quality of nursing care.
  • Takes responsibility for own professional growth anddevelopment needs; meets all system/departmental educational requirements.
  • Demonstrates collaborative, supportive, and caringbehaviors in communication with patient’s families, visitors, and theinterdisciplinary care team.
  • Consideration is given to the appropriateness of carebased on the population specific needs of the patient.

  • Utilize time management concepts and maximize timeeffectively
  • Work effectively with interdisciplinary care team
  • Give attention to detail when planning and performingprofessional nursing care, resolving patient/resident care problems and dealingwith patients and their families, while working with frequent interruptions andcompeting priorities
  • Respond calmly and professionally when dealing withdifficult or emergency situations
  • Maintain flexibility to adapt to a variety of workloadassignments
  • Lift, push and pull 50 pounds unassisted
  • Resourcefulness in dealing with emergency situations
  • May be required to work on varied nursing units forvarying periods of time
  • Practices within the scope of RN licensure
Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • 2 Year / AssociatesDegree (ASN) - Associate (or Diploma) RNs hiredinto this position must commit to completing their Bachelor of Nursing degreewithin4 years of their date of hire. Billings Clinic will help supportthe cost through financial assistance
  • Preferred - 4 Year/ Bachelors Degree (BSN)
Experience
  • At least oneyear of RN experience
Certifications and Licenses
  • Current Montanastate license as a registered nurse, or compact nursing license with ability toobtain a MT RN license within 90 days of hire date
  • ACLS certificationpreferred or ability to successfully complete ACLS training within two years ofhire
