Job summary

Onterris is seeking a Field Project Manager based in Joliet, IL to lead field teams, drive safety trainings, and ensure LDAR and safety program compliance.

The role requires 12-hour shifts and travel across Joliet and surrounding areas. You will manage calibrations, field reports and equipment readiness while promoting a positive team environment and operational excellence.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day management of field compliance for LDAR and safety programs.
  • Promote a positive work/team environment and lead weekly safety toolbox talks.
  • Manage PPE, supplies, and equipment; assist field personnel with requirements.
  • Document calibrations, precision tests, drift checks of monitoring instruments; review results.
  • Prepare field reports as required.

A Day in the Life

As a Field Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a field team, participating in and leading trainings for career development, maintaining site safety and required site certifications. This role is based out of Joliet, IL and surrounding areas.

The compensation range for this role is $28 - $32/hr, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.

To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of field compliance regarding the LDAR program and safety program.
  • Promote a positive work/team environment
  • Lead weekly safety toolbox talks
  • Manage and maintain use all required PPE, supplies and equipment and assist Field personnel with requirements
  • Manage, perform and review documentation of calibrations/calibration-precision/response time tests/drift checks of monitoring instrument
  • Preparing field reports as required
Your Expertise And Skills

  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry (preference given to candidates with natural gas processing/transmission facility experience)
  • Intermediate knowledge in LDAR related hardware and tools
  • Effective computer skills (Excel and Microsoft Office are essential) and proficiency with Android OS
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (days only)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Preference will be given to candidates with an associate or bachelor's degree in engineering technology or applicable technical degree/diploma; related work experience in hydrocarbon detection and measurement, LDAR, instrumentation or stack emission testing or a mechanical background are also preferred
  • Experience leading a team.
Work Environment And Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk and/or stand while handling/carrying various technical equipment for extended periods of time
  • Comfortable occasionally working at heights in a safe manner
  • Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
  • Comfortable working outside in all-weather elements
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
  • Ability to pass a fit test for a respirator
  • Standby and on‑call duty may be required, and the individual must be able to respond to the facility within one hour.
