Job Description

Little Donkey is looking for highly motivated individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced, structured work environment. The ideal candidate should possess great enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment toward providing exceptional service and maintaining excellent quality, with a focus on delivering memorable guest experiences. Being a team player and continuously striving to learn and improve while maintaining brand excellence daily is critical for this role.

The person responsible for working as a bartender has many duties and must execute them flawlessly. At the beginning of their shift, they must set up, stock, and organize all workstations. They are accountable for crafting both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company standards and creating an exceptional and unique dining experience for guests. The bartender is also responsible for serving guests responsibly by guiding them through the menu and making recommendations for both food and drinks that surpass their expectations. Accurately taking orders, providing friendly and attentive service, and stimulating conversation are crucial to ensuring that guests are satisfied and happy with their experience. Additionally, the bartender should keep the bar always stocked and clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Greets guests, explains specials, and menu using descriptive words, and listens and responds to questions.
  • Performs service duties for other employees in the dining room by delivering food to the guests when orders are ready in the kitchen and providing guest assistance in the dining room.
  • Performs duties that require organization, speed, efficiency, and bending and lifting.
  • Handles multiple priorities, works under stress, and exercises good judgment when dealing with guest situations and complaints.
  • Maintains cleanliness throughout the restaurant and performs weekly maintenance.
  • Prepares alcohol or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
  • Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations.
  • Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
  • Check guests’ identification and confirm it meets the legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Remains guest-focused and nurtures an excellent guest experience.
  • Complies with all food and beverage regulations.

  • Resume and proven working experience as a Bartender.
  • Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks

  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
  • Ability to see, hear, read, and write. Basic math and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and verbal directions.
  • Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests, other employees, and managers.
  • Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system.
